Platform - Airbus A300 1974-2007 with 561 built and first to use just-in-time manufacturing techniques as aircraft sections were manufactured by consortium partners all over Europe. Also became the first “ETOPS compliant” aircraft for Extended Twin Engine Operations over water and farther than 60 minutes' flying time from an emergency. The basic fuselage of the A300 was later stretched (A330 and A340) and shortened (A310). Airbus has announced a support package to keep A300s flying commercially until at least 2025
